Born and educated in New York City, Dr. Cooperman is a graduate of the SUNY at Buffalo (BA ‘72) and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (MD’80). He completed his internship in general surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Health Center continuing on as a clinical instructor of emergency medicine at Pitt. Upon completion of his residency in obstetrics & gynecology at Franklin Square Medical Center, he became a clinical instructor in ob/gyn at the prestigious Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore.
Dr. Cooperman relocated with his wife, Martha and four children in 1988 to Mesa, AZ where he practiced obstetrics & gynecology and delivered over 5,000 babies. Since retiring from private practice in 2016, he has pursued his interest in non surgical non opioid related therapies for the sufferers of acute and chronic pain.
