Best Medical Weight Loss in the Valley

Keeping it Off!

How often have you heard that in order to lose weight, all you need is to “exercise and eat healthy”? However, it is not always that simple. Losing weight can be difficult for various reasons: a lack of support, time, genetics and resources. Other weight loss programs typically last 1-month, and after they are over, it is common for the customer to put the weight back on quickly.

But our weight loss program is different; patients choose their specific plan based on their weight loss goals.  The plans range from 3 to 12 months, and each teaches patients how to make true lifestyle changes that are essential to keeping the weight off long-term. Whether you are just beginning your weight loss journey or coming back in for a touch-up, we provide medically supervised weight loss solutions.

It’s More Than Looking Good

Maintaining a healthy weight is so essential to your health! After smoking, obesity is the second leading cause of preventable deaths in the U.S. There are many diseases and secondary effects related with obesity and being overweight: Diabetes, cancer, osteoarthritis, sleep apnea, high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke. If you are concerned about your weight, our multidisciplinary center has a weight loss program that is right for you.

CHS Medical Weight Loss Program

At CHS, we have a great weight loss program to help you reach your goals an ideal weight. We focus on daily function and pain management, so we start with a thorough physical evaluation, body composition evaluation, and blood work. We use these results to create a customized basic or accelerated weight loss program. Our basic program is designed for patients that have about 20 pounds to lose (expect to lose 2-5 pounds per week), while the accelerated program is designed for patients who need to lose more than 30 pounds (expect to lose 30-60 pounds over the course of 4 months).

Nutrition and exercise counseling are part of our program. Patients learn to weigh and measure food, see what portion sizes really look like, and consume only the number of calories to reach and maintain their goal weight. Patients also have access to a proprietary web-based accountability app that tracks calories, activity and sleep patterns. The doctor can check on the patient’s progress throughout each week, then meets with the patient on a weekly basis to help them keep to their goals and hold them accountable.

How Do Our Supplements Work?

We prescribe supplements including pharmaceutical appetite suppressants, nutritional supplements, HCG injections, and B12 with MIC injections. But what are these supplements, and how do they work?

The appetite suppressants are designed to keep you feeling full, while the nutritional supplements ensure your body receives the vitamins, minerals and amino acids that are essential to health, and nutrients to keep you at your energetic best.

HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) is a hormone that regulates appetite by making you feel fuller faster. This enables patients to go on low-calorie diets without feeling hungry. HCG also allows the body to use stored fat for energy while retaining lean muscle. With a physician’s medical clearance, HCG is safe and effective for both men and women to use.

The B12 with MIC injections contain vitamin B12, Methionine, Inositol, and Choline. The combination of these naturally-occurring components helps speed up metabolism, burn fat, absorb essential nutrients efficiently, preserve lean muscle mass, and promote positive mood. Vitamin B12 plays a key role in metabolism and cell function, and aids in the release of cellular energy from fat and protein. Methionine helps our bodies dissolve fat and make protein. Inositol is a sugar alcohol that promotes glucose uptake, as well as reducing stress and boosting mood. And finally, choline assists the liver in getting rid of toxins and fights fatigue.

With weekly weigh-ins and monthly re-examinations, our program provides the individual attention and accountability necessary for our patients to succeed.

Testimonial

One patient provided her experience in regards to her medical weight loss treatment:

“The medical weight loss program is very effective! I lost 25 lbs over the course of 3 months! I met with the dr once a week to cover progress. They have access to an online portal to watch and monitor me. I had to log my water intake, caloric intake, etc. It’s a great way to hold me [and other patients] accountable.”

Her advice to prospective weight loss patients:

“Just stick to it! You don’t see results immediately! You didn’t gain that weight in a week, so you can’t expect to lose it that fast.”
